It doesn't seem all that long ago that I was angry and frustrated at a third Eagle NFC Championship game loss in a row. Thankfully, at the fourth time of asking, the Philadelphia Eagles have managed to win the NFC Championship, securing their place in the thirty-ninth SuperBowl, in Jacksonville on February 6, 2005.
After listening to the Atlanta Falcons boast about how their running game would trample all over the Eagles' defense, the likes of Brian Dawkins and Jeremiah Trotter held Atlanta to just 99 yards. The final score was 27-10, and an emotional team were able to parade the trophy before thousands of die-hard fans. Philadelphia loves its football, and the Eagles have given the city what it has been longing for.
As I write, the AFC Championship game is still underway. The result doesn't matter - the Eagles are ready to take on anyone.
