More features from DreamHost

I've now had webhosting provided by DreamHost for over a year. After putting my business site on their servers, I soon moved all of my sites over. The service they have provided has steadily improved, with more features being added all the time.

The latest additions to the suite of features provided by DreamHost include Ruby on Rails (an open source web application framework), FastCGI (a language independent, scalable, open extension to CGI), and the Zend Optimizer (a free application that runs the files encoded by the Zend Encoder and Zend SafeGuard Suite, while enhancing the running speed of PHP applications).

DreamHost has also introduced a new system whereby continued patronage grows your disk space and bandwidth allocation each week. For example, someone on the “Code Monster” plan (currently $15.95 per month) gets 7680 megabytes of disk space and 264 gigabytes per month of bandwidth. Each week of patronage will see available disk space increase by 60 megabytes, and available bandwidth by 2 gigabytes. This policy commits DreamHost to continuous growth - a signal to its customers that it means business.
