Four things

Posted Jan 27, 2006 in Blogging, Miscellaneous, Personal.

This is Erik's fault:

Four jobs I've had

  1. I put handles on reproduction antique furniture.
  2. I stacked shelves.
  3. I edited videotapes.
  4. I designed and deployed websites.

Four movies I can watch over and over

  1. Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan - Shatner's finest hour.
  2. Lawrence of Arabia - Arabia is still a bloody awful mess.
  3. The Lord of the Rings - “There won't be a Shire, Pippin.”
  4. The Matrix - Slick, thought-provoking, great soundtrack.

Four places I have lived

  1. Ashtead, Surrey, England.
  2. Fetcham, Surrey, England.
  3. Earlsfield, London, England.
  4. Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA.

Four TV shows I love to watch

  1. Battlestar Galactica - The best show on television, in my opinion.
  2. Lost - Completely addictive.
  3. The Shield - I'm glad I don't live in Farmington!
  4. Top Gear - Used to be on the Discovery Channel, but now I have to rely on “other sources” to get my fix.

Four places I've been on vacation

  1. Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain.
  2. French Riviera, France.
  3. Brittany, France.
  4. The Outer Banks, North Carolina, USA.

Four websites I visit daily

  1. The Wikipedia.
  2. BBC News.
  3. DreamHost Discussion Forum.
  4. DreamHost Wiki.

Four places I'd rather be right now

  1. Asleep in my bed.
  2. Watching a movie in the Empire, Leicester Square.
  3. At an Aston Martin dealer, buying a DB9.
  4. Eating a well-done “No Rules Burger” at an Outback Steakhouse. Mine's with bacon, American cheese, and grilled onions.

Four people I'll pass this along to

I'm bored with memes. Feel free to pick up the baton if you want it.

=), I am just south of you in Maryland at the moment. My family used to take a yearly vacation to the Outer Banks and we'd rent a house from... I believe the place was called North Shore Rentals. We always had a great time and there was this amazing restaurant called with "Awful" in the title... my memory seems to be lacking without today's coffee but I do remember it being great fun.

I usually vacation in Avon, which is just north of Cape Hatteras, and we tend to use Outer Beaches for our rentals. The restaurant you are referring to is probably Awful Arthur's in Kill Devil Hills.

Thanks for the xhtml for dummies tutorial, quite useful for someone like me who has never used anything but dreamweaver. (I probably wouldn't have bothered to say hi except that I'm a Swat alum. Warm regards to the mother ship alma mater!)
