I should add, for those of you who are interested, that it is this particular brand of cocktail franks that we like. We have tried other brands, but Nathan's is definitely the very best.

Are they sausage rolls?

They are similar to sausage rolls, but they have little beef frankfurters inside (instead of sausage meat) and they taste horrible if eaten cold. Genuine sausage rolls are considerably more delicious, hot or cold.
