People I hate

Posted May 19, 2008 in Personal.

It's been a while since I've blogged. Life has been... well... complicated over the last few months, so I chose to retreat from some of my usual online activities and take a breather. Fury at a few groups of people has put me in the mood to blog, so I bring you a list of people I simply cannot stand. They are presented in no particular order, and I would welcome comments:

  • Distributors of spam, and any other unsolicited electronic or paper junk mail.
  • Racists.
  • People who operate internet sockpuppets.
  • Black-hat hacker scum who try to fuck around with my website, my computer and my identity.
  • The voters who gave George W. Bush a second term.
  • Ditto, first term.
  • Media industry executives who are obsessed with restricting the rights of paying customers.
  • Excessively-religious people, particularly those who insist they are somehow “better” than people who are not religious.

I have to stop now, because I have just realized that I could go on in this vein forever.

good job. i'm glad to see your also enjoying increasing embitterment as you get older.

i find this especially noticeable when i watch sport; i'm far more motivated by hatred than i ever used to be.

as far as i can tell i'm suffering no ill-effects from this rather unpleasant trait though ;-).

    cheers

You're absolutely right, Paul. After years of being told to be nice to everyone, I figured out it was actually healthier to fill myself with hatred. Lashing out at certain people, or about certain issues helps me to blow off steam.

Sport has its own, special subset of hatred with a label of "hardcore". I see nothing wrong with hating people associated with the Dallas Cowboys, Arsenal, any team from New York, and a certain former F1 driver who won too many World Championships by cheating ("I accidentally hit the barrier in Monaco GP qualifying and blocked others from getting a decent time. My bad!").

The hating of internet-related scumbags is particularly important to me though. The internet would be AWESOME if it wasn't ruined by spammers, hackers and kiddie porn peddlers.

Don't know why you hate anyone.
Sure these people are annoying and cause trouble but hate only leads to the dark side.. spread love ! :)

    Dont worry... be happy..

@ Theatons: You have a very pretty website design, although none of the links are working. I don't think there is anything wrong with hate, to be frank, as long as it isn't some active form of hate. Can you honestly come up with a reason not to hate spammers, when 99% of my email is spam?

I think those religious fanatics are much worst than webspammers.

Never heard of the term internet sockpuppets before. Its true what they say, you learn something new every day. I think the religious fanatics are the same as web spammers they put crap through our letter box every week!!

I would place religious fanatics at the top of the list. It seems to me they are everywhere, trying to indoctrinate at all costs, paying little attention to individual's right to believe in whatever he/she chooses to.

I hate people who cannot drive. Who cannot indicate when they turn. Who are not considerate to others. Old people who look like they shouldnt be on the road and young smart guys who speed up and down the street nearly knocking over people.
