The second quarter school schedule
I picked up the schedule for my next term at school. I will be studying the following subjects for 11 weeks, beginning in January:
- Internet Site Development - This will be my introduction to Dreamweaver.
- Programming Fundamentals I - Microsoft QuickBASIC, apparently. It is supposed to soften the blow when I have to start doing JavaScript in the third quarter.
- Introduction to System Software - Microsoft Office applications. Yawn.
- Database Management - Advanced Microsoft Access. Will probably lead nicely into Oracle I in the next quarter.
- Internet Multimedia I - This will involve Adobe Photoshop.
I am very pleased with this list of subjects. I have no real programming skills at all, so doing QuickBASIC will be a good starting point. I am happy to also get a chance to learn Dreamweaver. I am not normally a fan of WYSIWYG editors, but it is my understanding that Dreamweaver is the leader in authoring.
